This is a very straight forward metronome.  The other beat that's worth trying out is the "Pop beat".

The Virtual Drum Machine Playground

Drum Machines Online

This is a fun site that has some classic drum machine beats on it.  Some of the better ones are : Electro-Harmonix DRM-16,  The Electro-Harmonix DRM-15,The Boss DR-55, The Univox Microrhythmer 12, The Oberheim DX, The ELI Computer Rhythm CR-7030.  The option to vary the tempo of the beats isn't available, but nonetheless there are some pretty cool sounds to try out.

*To make the page easier to navigate to the suggested drum machines, I suggest you copy(<command>C) the name of the drum machine you want to try out - and then paste it(<command> V) into the "find" feature available on most browsers.  On Safari and Firefox for example, the find feature opens up if you press <command> F.
